Ellie Walker Scheuermann, (my little black miniature Schnauzer) age 14+  died on Monday, February 12, 2018 after battling with lymphoma for the past year.

You may have met Ellie while at the Funeral Home, the Taylor Home Inn or visiting at the Post Office.    She was a sweet dog who was always there to greet you when you arrived.    She had a ferocious appetite and could find a golf ball in the tall grass all day long.  Ellie was a bright and loyal friend and companion and will be sorely missed.

I have never seen an obit for a pet before. But after I read it I can understand how important she was to your family and to those who she greeted at the funeral home. I under the loss of a pet. I had a cat who lived 3 months shy of 20 years. It's just as hard to lose a member of the family with it be animal or human. God loves his creation. Everyone of them. God's blessings to you all!

Dave, We are so sorry to hear of the loss of your dear Ellie. Our pets are just like a member of the family and leave such an emptiness in our lives - they are so missed. When we lost our cat, Ms. Millie, we both shed many tears. We had her cremated and so glad we did. Take care.

Hey Dave,

So sorry to hear about Ellie’s passing. When we recently needed your services for my mom, she was right there seemingly understanding everything that we were going through each time we met with you. Ellie had a way of saying “everything will be Ok” with a wag of her tail or the tilt of her head at just the right moment. Ellie was a ray of sunshine for us when she entered the room through difficult times.

Dave...
My sincere condolences to you on the loss of your beloved Ellie! 💔 How special are our pets and an important part of our families! I know I'd be lost without my constant sidekick Bella, a shiatsu terrier. The love we have for our fur babies is as deep as their dedication to us, and so my heart goes out to you. I'm sure she'll eagerly await you someday on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Til you meet again... 🌈
