Virginia M. Newbauer

Virginia M. Newbauer, age 78 of Clear Lake, WI, died on Thursday November 13, 2014 at the Amery Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Virginia Marie Newbauer was born on October 22, 1936 in Vance Creek, WI, the daughter of Ben & Hazel (Brunett)Anderson.  She grew up in Vance Creek and attended school at Prairie Farm, WI.  On June 12, 1954,  Virginia was  married to Joe Newbauer in St. Paul, MN and together they made their home in White Bear Lake, MN.  In 1967, they moved to Clear Lake, WI and raised 7 children,  Jeff, Linda, Edward, Randy, Kathy, Betty & Jasmine.  In addition to being a homemaker, Virginia also worked at Hardees in Amery for 13 years until Joe became ill and she quit to take care of him.   When she wasn’t busy taking care of her family, Virginia enjoyed dancing, playing cards, Yatzee and Bingo.  She  loved her animals, especially her cats Lilly, Peaches, Nalla, & Rose and her dog Sam too.   Virginia loved life,  had a heart of gold,  and loved her family unconditionally.  She was also a surrogate mother and grandmother to many children over the years, making sure those that needed help received it.   Virginia was a member of the United Covenant Church in Clear Lake and will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Joe Newbauer;   infant son, Edward;  &  parents, Ben & Hazel Anderson
