Tami Jo Weber

Tami Jo Weber, age 46 of River Falls, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and her pastor, on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN.

Tami was born the daughter of Don and Judy Weber on December 15, 1966 in Wauwatosa, WI.  Tami was baptized in January of 1967 and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, WI in May of 1981.  She grew up in Clear Lake, WI, graduating from Clear Lake High School with the class of 1985. Tami graduated from the UW River Falls with a Bachelors Degree in Communications, and continued working toward her Masters.  Her medical situation put her in a wheelchair at the age of 21.  Tami was a very determined, strong willed person who was inspiring to others.  She was an advocate for disabled rights, attending a yearly conference for disabled people, which she spoke at many times and serving as a member of the Community Health Partnership Board.  In three weeks, she would have become the newest member of the board of directors for WI Voices.  She also spoke to elementary school children about living with a disability.  Tami liked to make greeting cards and invitations, was an avid Packer and Badger fan, and loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.  She was an active member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir and helped with youth activities.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Vickie Weber and Fritz and Dorothy Jarvis; and infant brother, Timothy Weber.  

Tami is survived by her parents, Don and Judy Weber; brothers, Tom (Karen ) Weber, Todd (Amy) Weber, Travis (Clare) Weber; nieces and nephews, Grace, Blair, Grant, Kevin, Courtney, and Holden; and many other relatives and many friends.  

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 20, 2013 at 11 am at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in River Falls.  Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2013 from 4-8 pm at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church and on Friday from 10-11 am.  Spring interment will be in Clear Lake Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
