Sylvia M. Davidson

Sylvia M. Davidson, age 80 of Turtle Lake, died on Monday, September 30, 2013, at her daughter’s home in rural Clear Lake, WI.

Sylvia Marie Davidson was born on November 8, 1932 in Vance Creek Township, the daughter of Clarence & Ovidia (Rye) Nordby.  She was baptized and confirmed at West Akers Lutheran Church in New Haven Township.  Sylvia  grew up  and attended school in Vance Creek and attended Clear Lake High School.    She was married to Robert M. Davidson on January 11, 1951 in St. Paul, MN.   Together they made their home in Spring Lake Park, MN and raised one daughter, Elizabeth.   In 1962, they bought Sylvia’s parents farm in Vance Creek and operated that until 1974.   Over the years she has worked at Specialty Coating Systems in Clear Lake and drove school bus in Prairie Farm.  Sylvia also loved woodworking and enjoyed doing carpentry with her husband.  In her spare time she enjoyed traveling, fishing, helping her family and friends and was an active member of West Akers Lutheran Church.
