Steven L. Douglas, age 48 of Almena, WI, died unexpectedly at the Cumberland Memorial Hospital in Cumberland, WI, on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
Steven Lee Douglas was born on April 26,1977 in Lancaster, WI the son of Donald & Barbara (Myers) Douglas. He grew up in Luck, WI and attended Luck High School where he played football and wrestled before moving with his family to Alma, WI. Steven lived in Almena, WI for the past 25 years where raised his son Max with his significant other Melody Johnson. Over the years, he worked in the wood industry as a logger, heavy equipment operator and trucker for various saw mills all over NW Wisconsin. Steve spent many years working for North Central Logging before becoming an independent operator. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping, trail riding and taking road trips on his motorcycle. Steve especially loved to have cookouts on his grill with family and friends and was well known for his excellent summer sausage and jerky. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

A Celebration of Steve’s life will be on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 from 12 - 2 pm at the
Scheuermann Funeral Home in Clear Lake, WI
Interment will be at the Clear Lake Cemetery
