Steve D. Ellis

Steve D. Ellis, age 58 of Clear Lake, WI, died early on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the Amery Regional Medical Center after a battle with cancer since July of 2011.
 
Steven Douglas Ellis was born on October  22, 1954, in Estherville, IA, the son of Evert & Madelyn (Nelson) Ellis.  He attended school at Spirit Lake, IA until his early teens, moved with his family to Cleghorn, WI and graduated from Memorial High School in Eau Claire in 1972.  He was married to Deborah J. Christianson on September 14, 1974 at the Wesleyan Church in Eau Claire.   In 1976, they moved to the Clear Lake area to farm.  Together they raised two children, Gregory & Lisa.  In addition to farming, Steve worked as a mechanic for Son Equipment, Tri County Implement, and with Dean Tronrud.  In 1983, Steve began working at Land O Lakes, now AFP in Clear Lake as a maintenance/electrical person.   He continued to work there for nearly 30 years.  In his spare time, Steve enjoyed deer hunting, four wheeling, Sudoku puzzles, woodworking, spending time with and making various projects for his grandkids, and visiting Menards.  He served on the Clear Lake Village Board for eight years and was a member of the Clear Lake United Covenant Church.  Steve and Debbie, his bride of 38 years, were always seen together and always helping others in need, mostly with handy man work.  Steve will be missed by all who knew him but there is joy as Steve knew Jesus as his Lord and personal Savior and we will be reunited with him in Heaven.
