Ruth F. Paulson

Ruth F. Paulson, age  89  of Clear Lake, WI, died Friday morning, October 16, 2015 at the Willow Ridge Care Center in Amery, WI.

Ruth Florence Paulson was born on May 28, 1926 in Clayton, WI, the daughter of  Theodore & Edith (Norden) Stumo.   She grew up in Clayton, WI, was baptized and confirmed at the West Mission Covenant Church there and graduated from Clayton High School in 1945.  On September 27, 1947, Ruth was married to Raymond E. Paulson at the West Mission Covenant Church in Clayton Township, WI.  Together they made their home dairy farming in the Clear Lake/Clayton area, and  raised two children,  Sherry & Robert.  Over the years, in addition to farming and raising her family, Ruth worked at Fabri-Tech in Amery, WI and at Hartzell’s in Turtle Lake, WI.  She loved flowers, gardening, taking care of her yard, canning, freezing and quilting.  Ruth made        thousands of caps for the newborns at the Hennepin County Medical Center.   She was an active member of First Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, teaching Sunday School  and serving with the Ladies Aid and Quilting Circle.  Ruth also was a  4-H Leader and a member of the Happy Corners Homemaker Club for over 50 years.  She loved going to church, taking drives with her friends to see Christmas lights, and spending time camping with her grandchildren.   Ruth lived on the farm for 60 years before moving to Cannon View Estates in Clear Lake, WI.

She is preceded  in death by her husband, Raymond;  her parents, Theodore & Edith Stumo;  
brothers Donald, Frederick, & Stanley Stumo; & sister, Frances Anderson

Tuesday, October 20, 2015,  at 11 am  at the First Lutheran Church  -  Clear Lake, Wisconsin

Visitation is one hour before the service on Tuesday at the church.
