Ruth R. Karis

Ruth R. Karis,  age 91  of Emerald, WI, died on Monday,  December. 1, 2014,  at the  American Heritage Care Center Home in Hammond, WI.

Ruth Rebecca Karis was born on September 6, 1923, in Forest Township, St. Croix County, WI,  the daughter of
Harry & Lovica (Baxter) Peck.   She grew up and attended school in Webster, WI.  Ruth was married to Adolph M. Karis on October 22, 1942 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Amery, WI.  Together they dairy farmed for many years in Emerald, WI and raised seven children, Beatrice, Wayne, Dale, Lois, Donna, Bill & Faith. When she wasn’t busy with her family and farm, Ruth enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, quilting, cooking and baking. She especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.  Ruth was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Clear Lake, WI.

She is preceded in death by her son, Dale Karis; parents  Harry & Lovica Peck; grandson Christopher Karis;
one brother & eight sisters
