Ricky Lee Hornstien

Ricky L. Hornstien, age 68 of Amery, WI, passed away early on Monday, August 12, 2024,  at his home after a lengthy illness. 

 Ricky Lee Hornstien was born on January 12, 1956 in St. Paul, MN, the son of Floyd & Donna (White) Hornstien.  He grew up in and around New Richmond, WI and attended school there.  Ricky was married to Kathleen Hornstien on May 16, 1975 at the courthouse in Hudson, WI.   Together they had 2 children, Richard & Charity and later divorced.   Ricky moved to Goodhue and then Red Wing, MN where he met Lori Chavez and they have been together for the past 27 years.   After working as an auto body mechanic for many years in Red Wing, Ricky returned to Western WI in 2004 and continued to work in the auto body industry.   He was a talented artist and was known for his creativity.  Ricky enjoyed tinkering, repairing antique furniture, assembling die cast model cars and refurbishing old and broken Tonka Trucks.  He will be sorely missed by his family, friends and his dog Buddy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd & Donna Hornstien;
