Orville L. Kuhn

Orville L. Kuhn, age 95,  of  Emerald, WI, died on Friday, June 12, 2015  at the Willow Ridge Care Center in Amery, WI where he had been a resident the past year.

Orville L.  Kuhn was born on May 6, 1920 in Forest Township, St. Croix County, WI, the son of Herman & Anna (Thompson) Kuhn.  He grew up in Forest Township, was baptized at the Forest Methodist Church, and attended Glenwood City and Clear Lake schools. Orville graduated from Clear  Lake High School in 1938.   He was married to  May Elizabeth Fitzer on March 27, 1941 in Stillwater, MN.  Together they made their home in Forest Township, operating their dairy farm there for many years, and raising six children; Carolyn, Darrel, Lois, Terry, Bruce, & Brian.  In his spare time, Orville enjoyed reading  and traveling, taking many trips with May out West and visiting family in Canada.   He was a member of the Willow River United Methodist Parish.

Orville is preceded in death by his wife, May Kuhn;  parents, Herman and Anna Kuhn; an infant son;  great granddaughter, Sophia Zuerlein; great great-granddaughter, Ellaina Kuhn;  
daughter in law, Yvonne Kuhn;  brothers, Frank, Henry, Lorne, Raymond, Wesley, & Myron;
sisters, Evelyn, Vivian, Alice, & Hilda
