Norma K. Solum

Norma  K.  Solum,  age 85 of Clear Lake, WI died on Monday, April 14, 2025 at the Golden Age Manor Nursing Home in Amery, WI where she had been a resident for the last 4 years.

Norma Karen Solum was born on October 8, 1939, in Sheboygan, WI the daughter of Lyle & Margarete (Dobrez) Livermore.  She grew up in Sheboygan, was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith there, and graduated from Sheboygan high school in 1957.  Norma was married on June 21, 1958, to Orville A. Solum at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Together they made their home there and raised 5 children, Allen, Connie, Bonnie, Cheryl & Nancy.  They later moved to Woodville, WI.  In addition to taking care her family, Norma worked for many years as a nursing assistant at the Baldwin Nursing Home in Baldwin, WI.  Shortly before Orville’s death in 2006, they moved to Clear Lake, WI.     Norma worked as a sewer at Johnson Garment and was an active member of First Lutheran Church.  In her spare time, she enjoyed baking, canning, sewing and crocheting.   She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and will be sorely missed by family and friends.   The family will would like to thank the staff at Golden Age Manor for their care and concern.

Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Solum;  her son, Allen Solum; and her daughter, Cheryl Dixon;

brothers, Roger, Herman, Sammual, Paul & Edwin Livermore; & sister, Loretta Weissgerber

She is survived by her daughters, Connie (John) Peterson, Bonnie (Brian) Burns, and Nancy (Todd) Erickson;

grandchildren, Jason Solum, Tom Kerns, Mike Kerns, & Tim Kerns, Jessica (Walter) Messer, Justin (Kristine) Schutte,

Dennis Miller, Amber Lindahl, Nicole Dixon and Michael Dixon; many great-grandchildren.

  Funeral Service - 11 am on Wednesday, April 23,  2025 at  First Lutheran Church  in Clear Lake, WI

Casket Bearers   -  Jason Solum, Tim Kerns, Tom Kerns, Justin Schutte, Jessica Messer & Nicole Dixon

 Visitation -  Wednesday, April 23,  2025 from  10 - 11 am at the First  Lutheran Church  in Clear Lake, WI

 Interment will be at the Clear Lake Cemetery,  Clear Lake, WI
