May E. Kuhn

May E. Kuhn, age 91,  of  Emerald, WI, died on Tuesday, December 31, 2013  at the Willow Ridge Care     Center in Amery, WI where she had been a resident the past year.

May Elizabeth Kuhn was born on February 6, 1922 in Cylon Township, St. Croix County, WI, the daughter of William & Hilda (Schold) Fitzer.  She grew up near Emerald, WI in Cylon Township and attended Highlanding    Country School and graduated from Clear  Lake High School in 1940.   May was married to  Orville Kuhn on March 27, 1941 in Stillwater, MN.  Together they made their home in Forest Township for many years and raised six children; Carolyn, Darrel, Lois, Terry, Bruce, & Brian.  In her spare time, May enjoyed bird      watching, gardening, crocheting and traveling.  She was a member of the Forest United Methodist Church.

May is preceded in death by her parents, William & Hilda Fitzer; an infant son;  
great granddaughter, Sophia Zuerlein; great great-granddaughter, Ellaina Kuhn;  
daughter in law, Yvonne Kuhn;  brothers, Russell & Lloyd Fitzer;  and sister, Leona Frye.
