Mary "Kate" C. Nelson

Mary C. “Kate” Nelson, age 69 of Deer Park, WI,  formerly of Clear Lake, WI and St. Paul, MN died peacefully in her sleep on Thursday,  September 14, 2023 at the Amery Hospital after a long battle with cancer. 

Mary Catherine Nelson was born on April 2, 1954, in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Joseph & Mary (Galvin) Nelson.   She grew up in St. Paul, MN and graduated from Mechanic Arts High School in 1972.  Over the years Kate worked as a dietary cook for several nursing homes in the twin cities and raised 3 children;  John, Angela & Amy.  After retiring, she moved to Clear Lake, WI and was a member of the Living Word Chapel in Forest, WI.  In her spare time, Kate enjoyed playing cards and bingo, reading, dancing, and thrift shopping.  She loved spending time with her family and friends,  especially with her grandchildren.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Joseph & Mary Nelson;  brothers, Tom Nelson &  Tim Nelson

& niece, Jeanette Nelson

Interment will be at a later date.
