Marsha Hart Obituary

Hart, Marsha Kay “Crossed the Rainbow Bridge” peacefully at home on the evening of October 19, 2012, surrounded by family.  Marsha was born on June 28, 1950 in Michigan City, Indiana to her parents Frances Ellis (Osos) and Lt. Robert A. Ellis, USN.  After the death of her father in 1952 her mother married Earl Barnes of Amboy, Illinois who raised Marsha as his own.  The family moved to Madison, Wisconsin where Marsha earned her High School diploma from Madison Memorial High School.  Marsha attended Platteville State College and Madison Area Technical College where she earned her degree as an Animal Technician. She was certified to practice in the State of Wisconsin in 1978.  Marsha married Brad Hart (Middleton, WI) while he was stationed in Germany in 1972.  After living in Madison and the surrounding area, they moved to Turtle Lake, Wisconsin in 1977 where they raised two sons Bryon and Ben Hart.
After moving to Turtle Lake, Marsha worked as a Veterinary Technician at the Apple River Animal Hospital in Amery and Armstrong Veterinary Clinic .  Marsha was an advocate for the Arnell Memorial Humane Society where she dedicated her time and talents to this worthwhile cause.  She owned “Hart O’ the North”, where she bred Doberman Pinschers, the youngest of which became her first Champion in 2012.  Marsha aptly named her “Hope”.  In addition to her career as an Animal Technician, she operated a dog training facility and offered grooming and boarding services.
Marsha was preceded in death by her husband, Brad, in October 2002.  She is survived by two sons, Bryon, of Snohomish, WA and Ben, of Turtle Lake; granddaughter,  Chelsey B. Hart, age 3, who was the love of her life; mother, Fran LeCraw of Sun City, FL; sisters, Connie Ellis of Madison, WI, and Maribeth Barnes of Deerfield, WI; brother, Chris Barnes (Lois) of Arlington Heights, Il; and nephew, Paul Barnes Harvey.
The family would like to thank Molly Mahowald, Adory Hospice and all of Marsha’s wonderful friends for their love, support and care throughout her 17-year battle with breast cancer.
A celebration of her life will take place in December.
