Marie F. Rundquist

Marie F. Rundquist, age 90 of Clear Lake, WI, died early on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at the Golden Age Manor Nursing Home in Amery, WI.

Marie Francis Rundqusit was born on November 18, 1933 at Reeve, WI, the daughter of George & Margaret (Kelly) Lillie.  She grew up in Range, WI was baptized in the Lutheran faith, confirmed at Moe Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, and graduated from with Clear Lake High School in 1951.  On March 28, 1953, Marie was married to her high school sweetheart Donald R. Rundquist at Moe Lutheran Church.   Together, they purchased their dairy farm and milk route in Clear Lake and raised 4 sons, Jeffrey, Mark, Todd, and Chris.  In addition to taking care of Donald, who was involved in a train accident hauling milk, together they owned and operated for a short time the Long Branch Bar in Clear Lake and R & W Electric in New Richmond, WI.    Marie also worked as a CNA at the Amery Hospital and the St. Croix Health Center for many years.  After many years taking care of people, Marie decided she needed a change and drove bus for the   handicapped and Clear Lake Schools.  In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, playing cards, cooking and baking antiquing and garage sales.  Marie was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Clear Lake.  Her later years were spent living between Clear Lake and Arizona with her cousin Roy Nelson.  Marie’s true treasure was her family and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Marie is preceded in death by her husband, Donald;     son, Jeffrey Rundquist:

grandsons, Benjamin & Jeffrey Rundquist, Jr.; her parents, George & Margaret Lillie; 

brother, Michael Lillie; sisters, Kathryn Peterson, Shirley Nelson, & Bev Engebretson.
