Margaret L. Soderberg

Margaret L. Soderberg,  age 77 of Clear Lake, WI,  died on Thursday , January 29, 2015, at the Amery Hospital in Amery, WI.

Margaret Louise Soderberg was born on October 30, 1937, in Black Brook Township, Polk County, WI the daughter of Clarence & Leona (Oakes) Mara.   She grew up in Clear Lake, was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Catholic Church, attended Liberty Rural School, and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1955.  Margaret was married to Jerald  Soderberg on November 11, 1955 at First Lutheran Church in St. Paul, MN.   They  made their home in St. Paul, MN for a short time before moving back to Clear Lake, where together they raised three children, Larry, Mary & Dale.  Besides helping on the farm and raising her family,  Margaret worked as a bookkeeper at various jobs over the years.  She began working at Paulson Brothers (Pixall), then at Golden Age Manor Nursing Home in Amery, TMC Pontoons in Poskin, WI, Walfam Textiles in Clayton, WI and retired from Hartzell’s in Turtle Lake in 2004.    In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, photography, knitting and dog sitting.   She enjoyed spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s school and sporting events.  Margaret was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clayton, WI and will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

Margaret is proceeded in death by her parents, Clarence and Leona Mara;  brother, Pat Mara;
Brothers in Law, Alan Puffer & Kirt Smith;  and granddaughter,  Amy Lynn Olson
