Leslie "Les" Pittman

Leslie A. “Les” Pittman age 75 of Clear Lake, WI, died peacefully on Thursday, November 7, 2013 at his home after a final battle with cancer.

Leslie Allen Pittman was born on November 4, 1938,  in Clear Lake, WI the son of  Harry & Delores (Blair) Pittman.   He grew up in Reeve, WI, was baptized and confirmed at the Evangelical U.B. Church in Reeve, attended school there and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1956.   Les was married to Verna Jane Dobberschutz on March 26, 1960,  at the Zion Lutheran Church in Turtle Lake, WI.  Over the years together, they shuffled between living in Minnesota and Wisconsin and raised three daughters,  Wendy, Sondra, & Lisa.   During this time, Les worked as a farmer, a salesman,  worked in the elevator department for the Hauenstien-Burmeister Company, and owned and operated the Davis Motel in Ladysmith, WI.   Les worked at Murphy Motor Freight in Minneapolis for 20 years and was a member of the Teamsters Local 120.   Les was also an active member of the First Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, WI.   In his spare time he enjoyed taking care of his yard, hunting, fishing, gardening, pulling pranks, traveling, playing cards, and spending time with his family and friends.  Les’ motto was; “faith, family, friends, & laughter” and made sure that everyone knew that he loved them.

Les is proceeded in death by his parents, Harry & Doris Pittman;  brother, Gaylord Pittman;  
niece, Darla Olson &  nephews, Charles & Dustin Pittman.
