Leland G. Paulson

Leland G. Paulson, age 86 of Clear Lake, WI, died early on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at his home after a long     battle with Renal Cancer.

Leland Glen Paulson was born on the family farm in Clear Lake Township, WI on July 22, 1926, the son of Fred & Gladys (Paulson) Paulson.   He lived and grew up in the Clear Lake area, attended school there, and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1944.   After graduating, Leland joined the US Army and served with an engineering      division during WWII and later in Korea.  After being honorably discharged, he returned to Clear Lake and worked on the family dairy farm.  Leland was married to Mryna Johnson on November 28, 1953 at the Deronda Lutheran Church.  Together they operated their dairy farm and raised two children, LeRoy and JoDee.  After retiring from farming in 1988, Leland worked for Barney Barns and as a custodian for the Amery  Schools. Over the years, Leland was very active in the Clear Lake Community.  He was a member of the Clear Lake Lions, the Clear Lake VFW and served with the Clear Lake Area Honor Guard for many years.  He was also an active member of First Lutheran Church.  Leland loved life and enjoyed celebrating birthdays and holidays by giving away special cards and gifts that he created.  He will be sorely missed by  family and many friends.
