LaDeane K. Parness

LaDeane Parness (Madison), age 66 of Almena, WI formerly of Clear Lake, WI, died  on Sunday,     June 29, 2014  at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN.

LaDeane Kay Parness was born on December 11, 1947, in Amery, WI, the daughter of Clarence & Myrtle (Lee) Spurlock.   She grew up in the Clear Lake area, was confirmed at First Lutheran Church there and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1966.   LaDeane moved to the twin cities and worked at St. Paul Fire and Marine for a short time before she married Lambert “Butch” Madison in 1970 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clayton, WI.  They later divorced.  LaDeane made her home in  Clear Lake and raised three sons, Shane,  Brandon, &   Jeremy.   During this time she drove school  bus in Clear Lake and in Amery.    In 1997, LaDeane was married to Richard Parness and together they moved to Bayfield, WI where she worked as a medical transcriptionist.   They lived there for several years before moving to Amery and eventually settling in Almena in 2011.   LaDeane     enjoyed shopping, camping, the outdoors, and spending time at Lake Superior.  She enjoyed reading and especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She took special joy in planning birthday parties and get togethers for her family.  She will be sorely missed by her family and friends

She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence & Myrtle Spurlock;
