Kermit F. Thompson, age 91 of Deer Park, WI died early on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at the Golden Age Manor Nursing Home in Amery, WI.
Kermit Fredrick Thompson was born July 18, 1934, at home in Cylon Township, the son Carl & Hazel (Friedrich) Thompson. He was born, raised and lived his entire life on the 3 generation family farm in Cylon Township and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1952. While busy on the farm, Kermit also served his community as Cylon Township Supervisor and later town Chairman for several years. He also served on the Calvary Cemetery board. In the 1980’s, Kermit switched from dairy cows to beef cattle. It was then that he also began his 26 years as a bus driver for the Clear Lake schools. He also liked to travel. Together with Gloria, they made trips to Europe and Asia and also coast to coast around the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii which was his favorite destination. Kermit was also a member of First Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, WI. He especially loved spending time with his family. Kermit’s grandchildren and great grandchildren brought him so much joy and he was very proud of all their accomplishments.
