Kathryn A. Petersen

Kathryn A. Petersen, age 83 of Clear Lake, WI, formerly of Shell Lake, WI passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Regions Hospital.

Kathryn Ann Petersen was born on October 23, 1929 in Clear Lake, WI., the daughter of George & Margaret (Kelly) Lillie.   She was baptized as an infant at Moe Lutheran Church and lived in Clear Lake and Amery on farms as a child.  Kathryn attended Jones Creek, Vance Creek, and Range Elementary schools, attended Amery High School and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1947.   She was married to Fay “Pete”  Petersen on June 27, 1962 in Waukegan, Ill and together they raised 5 children, Debra, Darrell, Kay, Kimberly, & Dawn.  Over the years they made their home in Milwaukee, WI, Stillwater, Fairmont, & Lakeville, MN, and several years in Mitchell, SD.  They lived in Shell Lake before recently moving to Clear Lake, WI.  During this time, Kathryn worked as a school nurse and school secretary in Turtle Lake, WI and Mitchell, SD.  In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and restoring furniture.  Kathryn  also loved to organize class and family reunions.  She will be sorely missed by her family and many friends.

Kathryn is preceded in death by her;  parents, George & Margaret Lillie;  & brother, Michael Lillie
