Karen F. Barthman

Karen F. Barthman, age 75 of Reeve, WI, died unexpectedly on Friday, January 31, 2020 at the Mayo-Clinic Health Services in Barron, WI.  

Karen Faye Barthman was born on April 6, 1944, in Clear Lake, WI, the daughter of Lyle & Coletta (Berray) Burns.  She  grew up in the Clear Lake, WI area, was baptized and confirmed at Moe Lutheran Church and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1962.   On September 21, 1963, Karen was united in marriage to Virgil T. Barthman at Moe Lutheran Church in Clear Lake.  Together they made their home in Reeve, WI and raised two children. Nick & Amy.    In her younger days, Karen worked at Fabritek in Amery before working at Land O Lakes in Clear Lake.  She worked there for over 20 years before retiring in 2009.    In her spare time, Karen enjoyed gardening, painting, crafts and doing jigsaw puzzles.  She especially loved her animals and pets and operated a game farm at her home for many years.  Karen also attended Moe Lutheran church in Clear Lake and will be sorely missed by her family and many friends.

Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Lyle & Coletta  Burns;  sister in Law, Nancy Bergman; brother in law,
John (Connie) Barthman; nieces, Jamey Miller & Katie Burns; & great nephew, Eric Larson
