Judy M. Johnson, age 66 of Almena, WI died Friday morning, December 19, 2014 at the Amery Regional Medical Center surrounded by family and friends.
Judy Marie Johnson was born on February 14, 1948 in Amery, WI, the daughter of Leonard and Arline Johnson. She grew up in the Clayton area and graduated from Clayton High School in 1966. For most of her life, Judy lived in the Clear Lake/Clayton/Amery area and raised three children, Lonnie, Jamie and Nikki. After her children were grown, she lived and spent time in the “wild west”, mostly Montana. In her spare time, Judy enjoyed sewing, gardening, flower arranging, cake decorating, and playing Yahtzee with her sister, Karen. She worked as a coating operator the past five years at Specialty Coating Systems in Clear Lake, WI and also attended the First Lutheran Church there. Judy led a happy and healthy life until becoming sick with lung cancer in January of 2014. She had a very positive outlook thoughout all of her treatments, even when she was told that the last treatment wouldn't help. She insisted on having it and never giving up hope.
