Joyce E. (Mucciacciaro) Anderson

Joyce E. Anderson, age 74, of New Richmond, WI formerly of Clear Lake, WI died on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Westfields Hosptial in New Richmond.
 
Joyce Elaine Anderson was born on March 28, 1941 in Hudson, WI the daughter of Anthony & Rose (Schullo) Mucciacciaro.  She was baptized in the Catholic faith and confirmed at St. John’s Catholic Church in Clear Lake, WI.    Joyce graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1959 and went on to  St. Paul, MN where she attended Ritter’s School of Cosmetology.   On September 10, 1960, she was married to David N. Anderson at St. John’s Catholic Church in Clear Lake.   Together they made their home in Afton, MN and raised three children, David, Tarisa, and Angela.  They moved back to Clear Lake in 1977.   Over the years Joyce worked as a homemaker and a hairdresser.  In 1989, David and Joyce moved to Austin, Texas where they lived together until his death in 2004.  After suffering a stroke in 2013, she moved back to Wisconsin where she resided at The Deerfield Gables in         New Richmond, WI.  Joyce was known for her spunky personality, her big hearted Italian nature and her willingness to invite complete strangers into her home for an authentic Italian meal.  She enjoyed cooking, entertaining, listening to music, playing “Bunco” and garage sales.  She was active with Crafty Ladies, the Italian Club and enjoyed celebrating Christmas all year around!  She enjoyed talking and always seemed to know someone regardless of where she traveled and was the infamous Italian “cheek pincher”.   Joyce was “mom” to all who knew her.  She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.  
 
She is preceded in death by her husband David Anderson; parents, Tony & Rose Mucciacciaro; 
brothers, Johnny “Moochy”, Leonard & Nick Mucciacciaro; 
sisters, Christina “Tina” Mucciacciaro,  Rosemarie “Tootie” Harvieux & Rita Jorgensen.
