James S. Lauver, age 59 of New Haven Township, died unexpectedly at his home on November 4, 2012.
James Scott Lauver was born on October 3, 1953, in Buchanan, Michigan the son of Claude & Maxine (Stinchcomb) Lauver. He grew up there and graduated from Buchanan High School in 1971. James was married to Joan P. Sharkey on August 11, 1979 in Duluth, MN and they lived there a couple years before moving to Clear Lake, WI. Together they raised 3 children, Brian, Cyrena & Sam. He worked for a short time at Electrocraft in Amery, WI, before attending the University of WI Stout at Menomonie, WI. James graduated from Stout with a Masters Degree in Vocational Rehabilitation and worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor for the State of Wisconsin from 2000 to 2008. In his spare time, he enjoyed music, playing chess, reading and was learned about nature and the world around him. James will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude & Maxine Lauver; brothers, Richard & William Lauver
He is survived by his Wife - Joan Lauver;
Step children - Brian Martin, Cyrena Martin, & Sam (Kristy) Martin;
Grandchildren - Phylicia Martin, MaKaylah Brackins, Brittany Martin, & Sean Martin
Sister - Nancy (Larry) Weeks
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
