Irvin C. "Sonny" Clemmens

Irvin C. “Sonny” Clemmens, age 80  of Clear Lake, WI,  died on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the Heritage Care Center in Hammond, WI.

Irvin Carl Clemmens was born on September 23, 1938 in New Richmond, WI the son of Irvin & Sophie (Mortell) Clemmens.  He grew up in the Cylon area of St. Croix County and graduated from New Richmond High School in 1956.    In 1958, Irvin joined the US Army and served on military bases in the southwest United States.  During this time, Irvin also had a short career as a light heavyweight boxer.  Before being honorably discharged in 1961, he was married to Judith Rhodes in New Mexico.   Together they made their home in St. Paul, MN and raised 3 sons, Wayne, Casey & Cody.   Irvin then moved his family to Western Wisconsin where he farmed and bought and sold cattle.    He has been a resident of the Clear Lake area for the past 35 years.  

Irvin is proceeded in death by his wife, Judith;  parents, Irvin & Sophie Clemmens;
brother, David Clemmens; & sister, Lucille Kappers

Funeral Service  at  1 pm on Saturday, November 10,  2018 at  the Scheuermann Funeral Home in Clear Lake, WI.

Visitation -  Saturday, November 10,  2018 at  the Scheuermann Funeral Home from  11am - 1 pm

Clergy  -  Pastor Todd Groat  

Interment at Clear Lake Cemetery.
