Ida H. (Gluege) Ziemer

Ida H. Ziemer, age 90 of Somerset, WI, died peacefully in her sleep on Monday, August 25, 2014  at the St. Croix Health Center in New Richmond, WI.

Ida Helen (Gluege) Ziemer was born on May 24, 1924 , in Forest Township, WI,  the daughter of August & Louise (Moll) Gluege.  She attended Green Creek Country School and was confirmed on November 20, 1938 at Grace Lutheran Church in Clear Lake by Pastor O.P.  Medenwald.      Ida was married to Lyle H. Ziemer at Grace Lutheran Church on September 12, 1948 and together they raised three children, David, Kenneth & Dorene.  She worked at the Somerset School District in Food Service and as a  part time custodian for 29 years.  Ida enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing and playing cards.  She especially loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, and visiting with friends.  Ida was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Somerset, WI and was a Cancer Survivor.  

She is preceded in death by her husband Lyle H. Ziemer;  son,  Kenneth Ziemer;
parents August & Louise Gluege; son Kenneth; brothers, Rueben & Lester Gluege; & sister Margaret Duval

Graveside Service and Interment will be at the  Clear Lake Cemetery in Clear Lake, WI
