Helen I. Titel

Helen I Titel,  age 97 of Amery, WI, formerly of Woodville, WI died early on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Willow Ridge Care Center in Amery, WI.

Helen Irene Titel was born on September 12, 1926 in Beardsley, MN the daughter of Charles and Margaret (VanDerPoel) Hornstien.   As a young child, she moved with her family to Emerald, WI where she grew up and attended school.   Over the years, Helen lived in the area and worked various jobs.  In 1977 she was married to James L. Titel and together they made their home in Glenwood City.   In 2007, they moved to Woodville, WI where she was employed at McMillen Electric for many years.   In her spare time, Helen enjoyed gardening, playing cards and taking walks with her dog Rosco.  She had been a resident of Willow Ridge in Amery for the past 3 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Titel;  parents Charles and Margaret (VanDerPoel) Hornstien; 

brothers, Dick & Floyd Hornstien; & sisters, Marlene Nelson, Gloria Jacobson, & infant sister Judy Hornstien

She is survived by

There will be a Celebration of Helen’s life at a later date.
