Helen L. Peterson

Helen L. (Hose) Peterson, age 88 of Clear Lake, WI,  died late Sunday evening on,  September 18, 2011 at the Willow Ridge Care Center in Amery, WI.

Helen Lucille (Hose) Peterson was born on June 20, 1923, in Forest Township, WI , the daughter of Herman A. & Jennie (DeBoer) Hose.   She was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran in Forest Township and attended Zion Lutheran School in Brighton, CO for three years and was confirmed there in 1937.  Helen graduated from  Brighton High School in 1941 and later moved back to the Clear Lake area.    She was married to Douglas “Hub” Peterson on August 24, 1947.  Together they operated a dairy farm near Clear Lake for many years and raised one daughter, Lea Ann.  Helen was a charter member and has been active at Grace Lutheran Church in Clear Lake since 1942.    She was also a charter member and active in the Ladies Auxillary to VFW Post 5828 of Clear Lake for 60 years,    serving several offices during that time.  Helen was also a charter member of the Clear Lake Golf Club and was active golfing there until 2008.  She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Peterson;  her parents, Herman & Jennie Hose;  
brother Helmer Hose;  and sister,  Milda (Bill) Wienke.
