Harold “Harry” E. Waterman, age 81 of North St. Paul, MN formerly of Clear Lake, WI, died Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the VA Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.
Harold Eugene Waterman was born on June 2, 1933 in Clear Lake, WI, the son of Harold & Blanche (Hawkins) Waterman. He grew up on a farm in Clear Lake Township and attended Clear Lake Schools. When he was seventeen he dropped out of school and joined the United States Air Force in March of 1952. Harry served for six months at Sheppard Air Force Base near Wichita Falls, TX and received further training at Chanute Air Force Base near Rantoul, IL. He worked as an instrument mechanic on B-52 bombers at the Strategic Air Command’s Loring Air Force Base in Limestone, ME and served with the 42nd Field Maintenance Squadron until he was honorably discharged in 1960. During this time Harry was married to Elizabeth Pictou in 1955 and together they raised two children, Peggyann & Dale. In 1960, Harry moved to Minnesota and became a masonry contractor. He made his home in North St. Paul and worked on many construction projects over the years. He was also a prominent business man and operated other businesses , including a travel agency. In his spare time, Harry loved hunting and fishing, traveling, gardening, and having his Wednesday night dinners with the boys. He was particularly fond of his home town Clear Lake and was very active in supporting the Clear Lake Area Veterans Memorial and the Clear Lake Museum. He was a 30 year member of the Clear lake American Legion and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Blanche Waterman.

Memorial Services
Saturday, June 21, 2014 at noon from the Scheuermann Funeral Home in Clear Lake, WI
Visitation - Friday at the Funeral Home from 5 - 8pm and one hour before the service on Saturday.
Interment will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery with full military honors performed by the
All Clear Lake Veterans Honor Guard.
