Gertrude E Often formerly of Prairie Farm and New Richmond, passed away May 11, 2013 at Westfields Hospital at the age of 88. Survived by sister Lorraine Aronson Lakeland MN, nephews and nieces; Duane (Debbie) Aronson Chisago City MN, Craig Aronson Lakeland MN, Susan (Wayne) Klegin Hammond WI, David (Amy) Aronson Lakeland MN, Jennifer (Craig) Deschene Hudson WI, Mary Aronson Stillwater, Mike Mack Rhinelander WI, Julie Koepp New Richmond WI, Tom Ziegel Prairie Farm WI, Karen (Dave) Stephens New Richmond, many great nieces and nephews. Preceding Gert in death are her parents Edward and Gena Often, sister Evelyn Ziegel, uncle Oscar Moe, niece Mary Ann Mack, nephews Gary Aronson, Bruce Aronson and infant baby Aronson.
Gert was born and raised in Prairie Farm WI graduating from Clear Lake High School. She attended Minneapolis Business College and afterward worked for National Tea Company located in Minneapolis. She then moved back to Prairie Farm living and working on the farm with her parents until moving to New Richmond. Recently she was a resident of American Heritage Center in Hammond WI. Gert was a soft spoken and gentle person. She enjoyed reading and music. Gert very much loved her God and family.
