Gary L. Sigsworth

Gary L. Sigsworth expired at his home peacefully on May 8, 2025, at the age of 79 after battling several health problems the last few years.

Gary LeRoy Sigsworth was born on February 17, 1946, in Amery WI, the son of Charles and Doris (Teal) Sigsworth.  He grew up in Amery and lived there most of his life, graduating from Amery High School in 1965.    In 1963, Gary met his wife Judy Samuel, and they were married in Hudson, WI on June 5, 1965.   Together they raised 3 sons, Vernon, Martin & Shawn.  Gary worked for many years in St. Paul, MN for Ideal Manufacturing as a rule die maker until he moved to Star Prairie.  There, he owned and operated Star Prairie Bait & Tackle where he trapped his own minnows and delivered some as far south as Hager City and as far north as Hayward.    He sold his business in 1980 due to health problems and took up wood working which became part of his daily routine.  In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved the outdoors, being outside, and mowing his yard.  Gary spent many hours with his hound dogs and was awarded a Dual Grand Champion with his dog Sam.  He also spent lots of time taking care of his horses and loved to have his grandchildren come and ride.   Gary’s first priority was always his family, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Funeral Services  will be 11 am  on  Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Balsam Lutheran Church in Amery, WI

Visitation on Friday, May 16, 2025  from 4 - 7 pm at Balsam Lutheran Church and an hour before the service at church on Saturday.

Interment  -  Will be at a later date
