Florence Thomas Obituary
Florence M. Thomas, age 99 of Clear Lake, WI, died unexpectedly at her home on Friday, September 1, 2017.
Florence Thomas was born on August 4, 1918, in Rusk County, WI, the daughter of John & Esther (Rider) McCumber. She grew up in the Bruce and Weyerhaeuser area of Rusk County WI and attended school there. Florence was married to Aaron Thomas on August 26, 1935. Together they lived in St. Paul, MN for many years and raised 3 sons, Marvin, William & LeRoy. In addition to raising her family, Florence operated her own business and made a living as a sales person. She enjoyed baking, gardening, reading the Bible, praying for others and was a member of the Assembly of God church. Florence was a women of faith who had a big heart. When she lived in Florida, Florence spent her time helping the homeless and taught Sunday School for many years, She moved to Ridgeview Apartments in Clear Lake in 2012 to be close to her grandchildren . Florence touched many people’s lives and will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
She is proceeded in death by her husband, Aaron Thomas; sons, Marvin, William & LeRoy Thomas; parents, John & Esther McCumber
