Florence J. Moore

Florence J. Moore,  age 73 of Clear Lake, WI died on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, following complications from a stroke.

Florence Janet Moore was born on May 23, 1940 in Dassel, MN,  the daughter of  Joseph & Mildred (Settergren) Anderson.  She grew up in Dassel, MN and graduated from Dassel High School in 1958.   Florence was the first  member of her family to go to college when she entered the  Swedish Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis to become an RN.  It was during this time she met Arthur R. Moore, and they were married at the Covenant Church in Dassel, MN on September 23, 1961.  Together they made their home in Deer Park, WI and raised five children, Jon, Jennifer, Nathan, Timothy, & Kristen.  In 1971, Florence gave up nursing to become a stay at home mom and later began teaching piano lessons in the Clear Lake/Amery/Deer Park area.  She was an avid reader, enjoyed flowers and gardening, enjoyed teaching piano, was active in Gideon ministry, enjoyed traveling, and touched many lives with her gift of music.    Florence was a wonderful wife and mother who loved the Lord and was dedicated to her family and grandchildren.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Mildred Anderson;

Funeral Services on Friday, April 25, 2014 at the United Covenant Church in Clear Lake, WI

Visitation  -  Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 4 - 7 pm at the United Covenant Church in Clear Lake, WI
and one hour before at the church on Friday
