Dale D. Sempf, age 81 of Clear Lake, WI died unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at the Amery Regional Medical Center.
“Grandpa” Dale Duwayne Sempf was born on July 6, 1931 in Deer Park, WI, the son of Herman & Irene (Johnson) Sempf. He lived in Downing, WI until the age of 6 years old, when he moved with his family to the Clayton/Clear Lake area and graduated from Clayton High School in 1949. Dale was married to Vivian Martin on October 27, 1951 at First Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, WI and together they raised 3 children, Ronald, Laurel-Lou Ann, and Larry. Dale and Vivian operated a dairy farm in Clear Lake for many years. After farming, he worked for another fifteen years at R & D Machine in Clear Lake. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, traveling, making sausage and head cheese. He truly enjoyed visiting with friends and was very generous with his time and possessions. Dale especially loved spending time with his family, and loved attending his grand kids sporting events and going to the cabin. He was an active member of Moe Lutheran Church in Clear Lake. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Dale is preceded in death by his wife, Vivian; parents, Herman & Irene Sempf; great grandson, Tanner Sempf;
