Clarence J. Mara, Jr.

Clarence J. Mara, Jr. ,age 71 of Roberts, WI,  died early Sunday, March 27, 2016 at the American Heritage  Nursing Home in Hammond, WI.

Clarence Joseph Mara, Jr.  was born on July 12, 1944, in Black Brook Township, Polk County, WI the son of Clarence & Leona (Oakes) Mara.   He grew up in Clear Lake, WI, was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Catholic Church and graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1962.   In 1965, Clarence was drafted into the US Army and served in Vietnam as a gunner and helicopter crew chief.   He was honorably discharged in 1967.    Clarence was married to Mary Jane Hall on February 22, 1969 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Clear Lake and together they made their home in St. Paul, MN.  During this time he was employed at Whirlpool and  raised their daughter, Sheri.   In 1975, they moved to Roberts, WI and he began working at Andersen Windows.  Clarence continued to work there until 1999, when he suffered a stroke and later retired from Andersen’s in 2005.  Clarence loved to go fishing, especially with his father.   He also enjoyed deer hunting, John Deere tractors, taking care of his lawn, and was known for his good sense of humor.  Clarence loved  spending time with his family and treasured talking to his brother Joe on the phone.  He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

Brothers in Law, Alan Puffer & Kirt Smith;  Sister in Law, Eileen “Tina” Severance.

Memorial Service on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 11 am  at St. John’s Catholic Church in
Clear Lake, WI

Visitation  -   One hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.

Clergy  -  Fr. John Long

Interment  at a later date in Clear Lake Cemetery,  Clear Lake, WI
with full Military Honors by the All Clear Lake Veterans Honor Guard
