Cecelia M. (Halverson) Lieffring

Cecelia M. (Halverson) Lieffring,  age 91 of Clear Lake, WI, died on April 12, 2016 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN.

Cecelia Mary Lieffring was born on November 5, 1924, in Baldwin, WI, the daughter of Oza & Mary (Utech) Bazille.   She grew up in the Cylon area, was baptized and confirmed at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Cylon, and  attended country school.  Cecelia was married to Walter Halverson on September 23, 1944 and together they farmed for a short time in Cylon.  They also had seven children together, Mary, Gary, Denny, Joyce, Donny, Janice & Darrel.  During those years, Cecelia worked at Fabritech in Baldwin, WI and at the Laurel Supper Club.  Walter died in 1973.  Cecelia was married to John Lieffring on November 27, 1976 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Clear Lake.  They farmed together in rural Clear Lake until the time of his death in 2007.   In her spare time, Cecelia loved gardening, playing cards, reading the Bible, cooking for her family and was an active member of St. John’s Catholic Church.   The past 8 years, she has been living with her daughter in the village of Clear Lake. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

Funeral Services at 10:30 am, on Saturday,  April 16, 2016  at St. John’s Catholic Church in
Clear Lake, WI

Visitation will be on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 5-8 pm at the Scheuermann Funeral Home in Clear Lake, WI and an hour before at the church on Saturday.

There will be a parish prayer service at the Funeral Home on Friday at 7:30 pm
