Arlyss L. Engebretson

Arlyss L. Engebretson, age 81 of Reeve, WI, died on Sunday,  September 2, 2012 at the Amery Regional Medical Center  in Amery, WI.

Arlyss Leona Engebretson was born in Downing, WI,  on November 1, 1930, the daughter of Floyd & Kathryn (West) Stansbury.  She grew up near Downing and attended Boyceville High School.  Arlyss was married to Lavern Engebretson on September 19, 1946 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.  Together they moved to Vance Creek where they operated a dairy farm for many years and raised 7 children, Allen, Michael, Cynthia, Marsha, Curtis, Randy & Thomas.  Over the years, Arlyss also worked for Friday Canning in New Richmond, WI  and at Fabri-Tech and   Electro-Prod in Amery, WI.  In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, baking, & canning and spent her winters with her sister in Port Aransas, TX.  Arlyss was also a member of the Reeve Evangelical Free Church.  She especially loved spending time with her family and friends and will be sorely missed by all those who knew her.  

She is preceded in death by her  husband, LaVern Engebretson; infant children; Jon & Jean; twin sister Ardythe Laberee
and brother, William Stansbury; great grandchild, Jackson Espeseth
