John A. Weiberg, age 75 of Vance Creek Township, Barron County, WI died on Saturday,  August 3, 2013 at the Golden Age Manor Nursing Home in Amery, WI.

John Arvo Weiberg was born on June 1938 in Biwabik, MN the son of Arvo and Virginia (Tuomala) Weiberg.  He  was raised in the community of Markham, MN where his family owned and operated Weiberg’s General Store.  John went to school in Aurora, MN and graduated from Aurora High School in 1956.  In 1959 he attended Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music, where he met his future wife, Lydia Morgan. They were married on August 26, 1961 in Markham MN.  After  graduating from  Bible school in May 1962, he Returned to his home area to work in the family business and became Assistant Pastor at his home church.   Together, John & Lydia raised three sons,    Dennis, Jeffrey and James.  John later moved to Orr, MN where he was pastor at the Orr    
Bible Chapel and worked also as a logger for the next 17 years.  John then moved his family to Woodbury, MN where he began working in the trucking industry until the time of his death.  He has been a resident of Vance Creek for the past 17 years.  In his spare time, John enjoyed logging, gardening, and visiting and getting to know the people he would meet.  He was an active member of the Apple River Community Church in Amery, WI.  
John was  Preceded in death by his son,  Dennis;  grandson, Josiah;
and parents Arvo and Virginia;

He is survived by wife,  Lydia of nearly 52 years,
sons,  Jeff (Lisa), Jim (Alesha);  and daughter-in-law, Sheryl;
brothers, Mark and Randy;  
grandchildren,  Micah, Anika, Caleb, Journee, Jace, Kyle and Jared;  
great grandchild, Violet Walker;
cousin,  Dionne who lived with the family for several years

Memorial Service  -  Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 2 pm at the Apple River Community Church in Amery, WI

The family prefers memorials in lieu of flowers.
